Glenn Reeves of Burlington, Kansas, has released his fifteenth annual Form 1040 spreadsheet, which can be downloaded free of charge. Tax preparers can use their own tax spreadsheet applications, such as Microsoft Excel, OpenOffice, and Gnumeric Portable. Reeves' spreadsheet includes both pages of Form 1040 as well as supplemental schedules and several worksheets. In addition, there are two helpful new features this year: (1) the ability to add comments to the unprotected cells, and (2) some limited error checking.
