Editor's Note
It is with a great amount of excitement and satisfaction that we offer AccountingWEB's first Tax Software Review, an analysis of the leading tax software packages that our readers will be using in 2009. We've examined several programs and our board of reviewers has attempted to determine the highs and lows of each program, with an emphasis on logical interfaces, ease of use, comprehensiveness, technical support offerings, and special features. In addition, we are presenting the results of our Tax Software Reader Survey. Find out what your competition likes and dislikes about the tax programs and see how your own choice stacks up. If you're still waiting to choose which program to use in 2009, these analyses will help answer some of your questions. If you have already made your software choice for the spring of 2009, you will analyze that choice throughout the spring and this information will help you compare your program to the alternate choices that you might consider for the following year.
