Editor's Note
All of us who are in the accounting profession probably have
memories of job fairs or accounting days or career days or
whatever they called them on on your particular campus. It was
the one day of the school year (or maybe your entire college
experience!) when you donned a suit, shined your shoes, applied
your best grooming techniques, and let yourself be judged by
the outside world.
Those interview extravaganzas still exist on campuses across
the country, but these days, with more competition for
accounting students who are entering the workforce and thanks
to the wonders of new technology, accounting firms are pushing
the envelope when it comes to having a presence on campus. What
are your experiences? Let us know and we'd be happy to write
about them, either from the student or the accounting firm's perspective.
Best regards,
Gail Perry, CPA
